We will make the smallest possible handheld emulation station while maintaining long battery life and playability.
This is easiliest done with a Raspberry Pi Zero W as the brains so we are building the platform around it.
We will have hardware buttons, a touchscreen, and a joystick. My job of the project is Chief Engineer.
Shown below is our V2 of the PCBs. We now have one main board and two daughter boards. The decision to go with daughter boards was made due to the large price increase once the PCB dimensions went above 100mm by 100mm. This way we still get our PCBs for very cheap ($0.20/piece) and support everything the client requires.
